Epic day of flats fishing! Best day of inshore fishing for redfish!
This was my best day of redfishing on the flats ever! Fishing in the Gulf in Florida is always fun, but when the fish action is like it was this day you can't beat it! I caught 6 reds in 30 minutes, all of them over 20 inches long.

Iguana Hunting in South Florida! Catching and removing invasive species!
Переглядів 17 тис.2 роки тому
We had a crazy couple of days catching iguanas in South Florida. These wild iguanas are invasive (non-native) to Florida and are very damaging to that ecosystem. They eat native birds and animals as well as their eggs and young and also burrow into levees, causing erosion. They dig under homes, causing foundations to fail. Interestingly enough, they are also absolutely DELICIOUS so it's a win/w...

We had a great time catching these beautiful peacock bass in South Florida on light tackle! We'd heard about how pretty these fish were, but seeing them up close was really something else. They're one of our favorite freshwater fish to pursue and we can't wait to go after them again. We caught some really nice ones on this trip! #peacockbass #freshwaterfishing #southfloridafishing #catchandrelease

Pheasant Tower Shoot at South Fork Hunting Preserve
Переглядів 105 тис.3 роки тому
A tower shoot at South Fork Hunting Preserve is always a great time! It’s good shooting practice for us, a lot of retrieving opportunity for our Labrador retriever (Attie) and a chance to spend time with fun people. We have to say though, watching Attie wheelbarrow a pheasant back to us - holding it by the rear end while it ran across the ground - was one of the funniest things we saw all day. ...

Inshore fishing - Catching Big Redfish in North Florida on Light Tackle
Переглядів 76 тис.4 роки тому
It's so exciting catching big redfish on light tackle! I caught a personal best on this inshore fishing trip, just under 27"! The water was really dark and murky, making visibility nearly zero. Even bright lures disappeared within a foot of water. There wasn't much of a bite the whole morning....until this fish hit. Lucky for me, we are big believers in "just one more cast" because it paid off ...

When we go inshore fishing in the Gulf, we catch all kinds of fish - although we're usually targeting redfish and speckled trout, with light tackle. After landing a big redfish, I cast back out and immediately had a fish on. Some fish put up more of a fight than others, and this jack was determined that he wasn't getting into the boat!

    One thing you should’ve mentioned is that there is only a very small portion of the coast that is open to scalloping that has the early June season. While anyone going on the water should check the regs for themselves, harvesting scallops in June anywhere other than southern Taylor or Dixie counties could land someone in some serious hot water. You owe it to your viewers to point that out. Great video otherwise, thanks!

    • @TheNaturalAddiction
      @TheNaturalAddiction 2 роки тому

      Thanks for the feedback. With any hunting or fishing, people should always check the regs for where they are going because they vary from state to state and county to county. No video can cover all states and counties. The intention wasn’t to tell people the regs, it was just to show them how to do it. Appreciate you watching!

    great video Deneshia - I love love love your reaction when you first lay eyes on your fallen deer. First archery kill is definitely something to be proud of! I have tried in vain to get my twelve year old daughter to join me on some hunts. Hopefully when she is a bit older she will give it a try, but for now she isn't interested. Maybe I will make her sit through a few of your videos with me!! A few thoughts - I had several deer this year that didn't show any blood trail for the first fifty to seventy yards of running, but in the twenty to forty yards that followed that the blood was flowing. I had hit both of them high in the lungs, and I think it took a few seconds for the blood to fill up the cavity before it started leaking out the entrance and exit holes. In your shot, the arrow head passed through both sides, but the arrow didn't, and the arrow shaft may have prevented blood from flowing for the few seconds that it took for the deer to run thirty yards. Just a hunch, but this underscores the importance of following the deer as best you can visually so that you know which way she goes! The second deer shot it a great lesson in what a deer does (hunches her back like she's trying to squeeze out a bowel movement) when the deer is gut shot. It's fortunate that they saw it drop since a deer hit there - at least with an arrow, anyway - can live for hours, and tracking it too early can just push the deer at a time when the blood isn't flowing. I learned that the hard way my first few years of hunting.
